Corn Harvest Report #11: 66R25RIB Shines in Hurlock MD Location


This plot had a wide spread of maturities from 100 RM to 116 RM.   AXIS 66R25 is showing well across the Delmarva area this year.   The disease package and stalk quality is making this hybrid stand out this year along with its superb grain quality.  63H27 and 63M73 also finish strong at this location.

Corn Harvest Report #10: 66R25RIB and 63M73RIB Show Strong Performance in Laurel, DE

This was an outstanding plot on sandy loam soil near Laurel, DE.  The disease package on 66R25 and 63M27 showed well in this corn on corn environment. The plant health and standability was noticeably better on these two hybrids.

Corn Harvest Report #9: 62A28 Still Shines In Eastern Virginia!

This plot was blanketed with a heavy frost in May which led to a higher than normal runt ear count.  Greensnap and late season kernel sprouting also contributed to yield loss for many of the hybrids.  62A28, 63M73, and 64B28 proved they can handle multiple challenges and still yield well.

Corn Harvest Report #8: 64B28 Yields 223.2 Bushels Per Acre In Clinton, NC!!

This Axis Corn Plot averaged 193.2 bushels per acre across 15 different hybrids.  Extreme rainfall in August limited some of the top end yields due to sprouting and kernel damage.  The hybrids that performed above average in this location have beneficial characteristics such as long husk coverage, excellent kernel quality, and resistance to ear diseases which protected the ears from the excessive rain.

Corn Harvest Report #7: Axis 59A25 Has Found Its Sweet Spot In Eastern Virginia!!

For a fast drying hybrid with top end yields, 59A25 seems unbeatable along the coast in Virginia.  65D28 and 64B28 continue to dominate the SE region as full season hybrids in all yield environments.
